A case in point is our customer Poxon’s based in Brownhills, West Midlands. With Christmas looming, Poxon’s sales had been better than expected. They were running out of sausage labels for their premier sausages. Thankfully, PID have a digital press which means a setup time of minutes before getting labels into production.
Poxon’s discussed the urgency of the label order with our Sales Director, Mark Hurst so we arranged to re-order the work scheduled. This is easy on our digital press and we prioritised the order for our customer.
One of the major benefits of digital label production is that once we have made a job, we have a digital file available for the next time. This means we can call up the last order on the press and repeat the order to the same exact specification.
The outcome was the label order for a few thousand labels was completed within the hour. But that is not the end of the story. Many label manufacturers could make labels on a quick turnaround but then the courier still has to deliver the labels.
Despite being an hour away, Mark took the finished product to the customer himself – part of the kind of service our loyal customers can expect from us! However, Poxon’s were so grateful that we could help in on the same day they felt compelled to reward us.
To our surprise, Mark returned to the office with a gift for each of the 20 employees at the company. Each contained two packs of sausages and a pack of sausage meat along with Poxon’s award winning black puddings.
It goes without saying that the Christmas table will be even more delicious in each of our employee’s households this Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of Poxon’s gift and we are all very grateful for their generosity!
