To reset the date and time on your printer after replacing the battery, follow the instructions below.
Reset the date and time on your TSC printer
You need to access the printer directly using the diagnostic tool (download)
- If you have Label Direct installed on your computer, you can easily access the diagnostic tool by launching Label Direct (not Direct Print).
- Open Label Direct for TSC or Label Direct for SOLO (depending on what you have)
- Click Help
- Click Diagnostic Tool and Click the “RTC Setup” button.
- Click the “Get System Time” button
- Modify the time and date to suit your needs
- Click “Set”

Check that the time is correct on your label software.
To confirm the real-time clock is properly powered, you can switch the printer off and on again and retest. Ideally, leave the printer off overnight and check after an extended period.
