In March this year (2013) we had a stand at the Farm Shop and Deli Expo, which is incorporated in the Food & Drink expo at the NEC, so that we could show the food and drink companies what we could do for them!

As always this show was a very enjoyable few days, which also generated interest across the range with sandwich companies and ready meal companies taking a closer look.
One service that we offer, the sandwich labelling starter pack, is particularly popular at these events because it is so unique and wide spread appeal.
The Food and Drink expo in the NEC this year highlighted the extent to its versatility because of the range of different companies, which are not sandwich companies, who were interested in it.
These companies ranged from soup companies to ready meal companies to ice cream companies, all asking for a different shape and size label.
For our sandwich labelling unit this was not an issue as it created an opportunity to demonstrate that our printer could print circular labels, oval labels or any other shaped label that the customer desired.
From this expo we were able to clinch a few long term deals with a range of different companies; some of which will feature in our future blogs.

Last year Freezeland Ltd, a London based retailer of frozen products, contacted us regarding their labelling. Here at Positive ID we are proud to announce that we completely revamped their labelling process. We now supply them with 70,000 labels a year for them to use on their desktop printer system.

The result is a clearly read label giving all the details necessary. Jackie Harris, Technical Manager at Plants Plus explained that Positive ID Labels labelling solution has speeded up the labelling operation by more than 50%, with a significant cost saving. “It’s ideal for our business,” she said.

Orexis Fresh Foods Ltd is a family run Food Manufacturing Company specializing in ethnic dips, Mexican dips, luxury salads and sandwich fillings. Orexis Ltd approached Positive ID for a simple cost effective way to apply a “Best Before” and “Batch Number” to a range of their products.
The answer was to use a two line-labelling gun. George Katsaros from Orexis said “we have been using Positive ID for 3 years now and they initially advised us correctly about the right products to use and have been well pleased and served by them since”.
