Factors influencing the price you pay for your toiletry and cosmetic labels.
There are three main factors that influence the price you pay:
- Size of the label you order – this will influence how much material you need and how long it will take to print
- Quantity of labels that you order – there is a fixed price for set up on the machine – then the quantity you order takes time to print. If you order more, the unit price of your toiletry labels will be reduced.
- Print method use – flexographic printing is cheaper per unit based on much higher volumes being printed
We have manufactured billions if not trillions of labels and do so to the highest standards. We can do the same with your Toiletry Labels. We can manufacture labels using traditional flexographic printing methods or modern UV inkjet digital printing. Shorter runs lend themselves to digital printing but longer runs (over 20,000 labels for example) are cheaper when made by the flexographic process.
Digital Toiletry Labels
We have some of the best digital equipment available in the UK at your disposal. Printing Toiletry Labels on our Jetrion 4900 UV inkjet means full colour labels with no plate charges.
Digital label printing means no delays in getting tooling such as printing plates or cutters too. This means there are no tooling charges and we can get your product made and delivered quicker than using traditional flexographic printing. Savings in time and money are passed onto you as our customer.
To see how the laser die cutting station works, just look at this video here. The lasers cut each label individually as they move along the press. Labels are made inline in one manufacturing process. Feedstock goes onto the machine, is printed, cut, stripped and slit in sequence, then wound onto finished rolls for you.
Flexographic Toiletry Labels
For high volumes of label, we will generally recommend using flexographic printing to reduce unit prices. For simple artwork, we will probably recommend using our Edale, water based ink, flexographic press.
For full colour, photo quality finish, we have just invested over £330,000 in an MPS 350 UV ink press. The MPS is a brand new printing press that became operational in April 2018. Costing over £330,000, it can print a 3km master roll in half an hour and delivers labels of outstanding quality.
