We were recently contacted by a media company based in Leicester. The company required some promotional labels for an exhibition it was running.
The exhibition is one of several niche exhibitions the media company is involved in around Leicestershire. They provide exhibition labels at all the events they organise and run as part of the advertising and buzz around their events. labels can be attached to all kinds of paraphernalia associated with the events too!
The company had been let down by their previous supplier who had run into problems and all but abandoned the order. They gave the cleint very little notice that they would be unable to provide the self adhesive labels in time for the actual event.
On receiving a call, we discussed their needs and explained what we would need to do. We expedited artwork and approval with them via email. The printing plates were speedily produced as we call in favours based on the very good working relationship we have with our plate maker, Brownett in Castle Donnington. Plates were collected first thing the following morning as several staff drive past the plate makers factory every day.
We got the press rolling first thing the following morning, pushing the job up the queue to help this new customer out. The press run was only 50,000 labels so no more than an hour of work before being moved over to finishing. The finishing started as soon as the ink was dry on the roll too!.
The exhibition labels were delivered the following day – a 46 hour turnaround of which only 3 hours was artwork, production and finishing. The remaining time was plates and carriage over which we had no control.
Needless to say, the media company were thrilled that we managed to reduce our standard 10 day lead time by 80% for them. They have now become a regular customer with us winning business for most of their exhibition labels – made easier now we use digital printing technology on our Jetrion 4900 printing press. The 4900 has a laser die cutting station to allow us to print and cut full colour labels to any shape or size.

Last year Freezeland Ltd, a London based retailer of frozen products, contacted us regarding their labelling.
