For ultimate durability, we recommend polypropylene Odette transport labels used with resin thermal transfer ribbons as these provide the most durable finish. Alternatively, we can supply self-adhesive labels with Direct Thermal material or Vellum that will require transfer ribbons. We also offer a number of printing solutions and printer software to print Odette transport labels.
Odette labels are supplied for use in industrial thermal printers. This means we supply on rolls of 1000 labels on a 76mm core. If you want a larger number of labels per roll, just ask when you call us on 01332 864895 to make your order.
All our Odette labels are supplied on rolls. We cannot supply laser printer compatible A4 odette labels. Our Odette labels work perfectly on our 6 inch TSC TTP-2610MT Series printers or on our 8 inch TSC TTP-286MT Series printers. We can also supply all components and free service and support with these printers.
The price of your odette labels depends on the material you use. Vellum and Semi-Gloss are paper-based materials and require as a minimum, wax ribbons. Direct Thermal odette labels do not require any ribbons so despite being slightly more expensive, there is no consumable cost other than the label.
Direct Thermal labels are only suitable for odette labels that will be subject to benign environmental conditions and are limited to 12 months in terms of readability (in good conditions). For not direct thermal paper, as a half-way house, you can use so-called “wax/resin” ribbons. These offer a compromise on better quality print and a more economical price.
Polypropylene labels will require resin ribbons which are around twice the cost of wax ribbons. The print quality associated with resin ribbons is excellent. It is not possible to use wax or wax/resin ribbons with polypropylene material.
